I have just installed mine. The instructions say #1 and #2 for more weight transfer. Don't you think #6 would allow more transfer or am I confused ?

I have also have tried two different aftermarket trail mufflers and have to agree with Yamajon1. Around here it is not worth the loud noise complains. And on a long day of riding I was better off listening to the stock exhaust as it was easier on my ears ( boy I getting old ! ).

Seeing how these four stroke motors last so long. What is the highest number of miles someone has put on a Viper? I saw in a different post were someone had 17000 miles on his machine. Please submit your miles and lets see the high milers.

Has anyone here tried the Racewerx Quick Adjust Coupler Block? Does it help/work ? Seems kinda expensive in the Yamaha accessory catalog. Anyone have a used one they would sell ? thanks

I also had trouble with the push pin. It would not fit in hole in the bracket. Had to drill out the bracket and use a bolt thru it, yes it was hard to get the nut underneath it. Then when I did get zip tie in place the adjuster knob hit the handlebar clamp. Managed to get it moved to the left so...

As long as we are talking battery, what are you guys recommending to use? I believe the original is a Yuasa. Are they a sealed battery? Thanks

This happened to me on my 14 LTX, the original spring broke and now I am running the BOP soft spring and love it.

Installed my BOP soft spring today, engages at around 3000 rpm were it engaged at 3600 rpm with the stock spring. Max RPM on tack recall is the same at 9240 as it was before. very happy with it.

Does the soft spring from Barn of parts actually work? Have any of you tried one? Did your full shift RPM change at all? What do you guys know about these? Thanks boyz.

What RPM are you guys getting for clutch engagement on your Vipers? I am looking for stock Viper with stock clutching/spring, not any turbo sleds or aftermarket soft springs. I running the 8JP belt.

I do have to work at keeping the sled clean. I have added a extra vent behind the secondary clutch ( by my knee ) that removes a lot of heat and hopefully some of the belt dust.

I have run the stock 8JP on my 14 LTX and with 2200 miles on the belt it is still in spec and in great condition. I do keep my clutch's and belt as clean as possible. Have not tried the 8DN belt yet, would it preform better?

I'm sure wearing ear plugs got old real quick.

Has anyone here tried the Viper Quiet Clutch Kits that are for sale on the web? They are small washers that you install on the space between the roller pin and the bolt on primary clutch. Says it will eliminate the clutch rattle noise. has anyone used these? Thanks

When you turn on your key on your Viper does the oil light come on before you start the motor ? It did after I did the oil change like the book says but now it don't. Let me know what yours does. Thanks.
