Updated one of Boss's 05 RX1's to what he will run this winter. We ran it on wet hay this morning and pulled 8 lenghts on the stock 05 RX1. It turns about 9250.
We ran Boss's (2) 05RX1's in the wet hay field against a stock 04 warrior with 5000 miles and my ex-warrior with 13,000 plus miles.
The 05's were consistantly 3 to five lenghts behind the stock warrior and at least 10 behind the 13,000 mile warrior. The 05's only pulled around 9600 RPM...
Black RX1ER was delivered to Scoobys daughter's house yesterday. She said the second one was at the dealer getting some goodies and will be delivered in a few weeks!!! What?? News to me. :ORC
Comments:
Looks great except for the gray belly pan! :moon:
It has 4 real wheels...
The old Farts bought Scoobys F7 last year to use as a spare sled. It has been set up real well. It is fun to drive especially for the ladies.
The quality isn't in the same league with the Yamahas.
Mighty: We like to see differant areas than we see every day and we want the women to come along. We trailer to a area and then ride from there. We then move to a new area and see the sights. My wife rides behind me on my Ultra Classic and Boss's wife rides her Fat Boy and Boss rides his Ultra...
Bob: Cheat on the wife no way! :ORC
But it does pump the ego of us old guys. Like we said we turned tail and ran but were still grinning. :-o
Srxspec: We are planning to make the trip if Boss Hog is healed by then. He would never forgive me if we went with out him. We take the motor home...
Comparison testing
This testing is not meant to start any pissing contest but rather to share information with our TY brothers.
Over the past several days we have been running a test on wet hay comparing two stock clutched Warriors. At the present time we have run 6 times and the two sleds...
Double or nothing? Are any of you turbo guys willing to go double or nothing? I pay the going price for the turrbo and if it is relatively trouble free for one season, then I pay you an additional going price. If it isn't reasonable trouble free I get my money back. :ORC
Matt I have a better idea. Let the old fart gang ride them for a bagger trip and end up on the lake for the shoot out. No one to touch the sleds between the trail ride and the shoot out!! :ORC
The suspension should be adjusted when stopped. But the rep. told me that as long as you adjusted it when the suspension wasn't moveing a lot everything would be fine.
The connection to the shock is a flex shaft simular to a speedometer cable. The shaft then adjust a clicker arangement like...
I changed to Black with side panels of black instead of gray. LaLaLa
I didn't want to look like you puppys. I changed color as soon as I read your color chose :moon: :ORC If you switch I will go back to Candy apple. :moon:
I adjusted the weight transfer on the 05 and got good hook up...
Tom we all rode it much harder than we would normally ride and it was much better than the warrior especially in the studder bumps. I adjusted it on the fly for changing conditions and that is what made me fall in love. I feel it rode almost as plush as the M10 on the wifes warrior but was...
Wonder we had a chance to ride the RX1 on and off for several days. I kept switching from the warrior to the RX1. It was easy to adjust, it felt very comfortable and handled really light.
The ride was almost as plush as the RX1's with an M10 but the transfer was great and overal had a better...
Mighty ride one at 10,700 and compare it to 10,200. The "engine" really screams at that RPM. In my opinion that RPM is too high for lond distance trail rideing.
Just my gut feeling!
