I have the same track and had the same issue, I just bought some used XP wheels and put them on. They don't extend too far below the hyfax and since most of my riding is in soft stuff I'm hoping its not going to present a problem. I am going to carry a track carpet though should I blow an axle.
To be clear, my setup is on an MTX and I am only concerned with mountain (stand up) riding. That said, I don't mind it on the trail at all, I also have a taller seat than stock so this no doubt helps. I found that forward rotation that the pivot adapter allows made the most difference in getting...
I have their pivot adapter and one of their 6in risers and all the cables fit fine. It was a significant rise, even though the riser is the same as stock, moving the bars forward and the addition of the pivot adapter really bring the bars up to a more natural (mx style) ride height. I also...
Is it available yet?
Hey, just wondering if you know if the trail tank version of the seat is available for sale yet. All I see at sledsolutions.com is the original and no mention is made of the bag as an option. Any info appreciated.
Powder Pak
I have the Powder Pak on the back of my MTX, it shredded the straps and exploded all over the trail after 10 days of use. One of the seams blew out as well, but I'm not sure if that was from impact or wear. Up until the disaster it worked fine (waterproof-wise). The failing is the...
Another thought, I find that the area this piece vents fills up with snow when I ride. If this vent does indeed evacuate heat I can see this accumulated snow constantly melting through the vent material and ending up inside the engine compartment (and soaking my K&Ns). Is the vent material water...
Doo gas caddy
I use the one for the 07 rev, its fits flat on the tunnel while the one for the XP is raised. I've gone to an under-tunnel exhaust so I removed all the junk from under my seat and put a block off plate in its place. I mounted the gas can right up against the seat brackets I...
I have the Ulmer kit as well, and initially it did as you described. Now, after several upside-down adventures the filter is saturated and leaks like an open line. The last time the entire engine compartment and all (and I mean all) my panels were covered in oil, it took 3/4 or a litre to get...
I use Asterisk cells, I used to hate wearing them for MX then a blown acl forced me to use them (wasn't wearing them when I crashed, arg). Last year was the first time I used them for sledding and I'll never go back to not, even though the surgeon has me all fixed up now. My knees, both of them...
Nice build you got there. I am doing a similar although much less refined build as you, with a Vector header and a Hindle can. I am also going to put a snow blocker piece just aft of the exhaust outlet but I think I will use some sort of sturdy screen to let some flow through while still...
Re: CAUTION!!!!
I had to read that paragraph in the instructions three times before I came to the same conclusion....good thing too as measuring along the rails would have made for some interesting geometry. While the product looks great, I think the instructions could use some work, like...
