and/or bigger upper idlers

Well first off I would like to thank Scott at OFT for helping a guy out and I want to say I really apperciate the help. What I have done to take up some of the slack is install 8" upper wheels you can see in the pictures of where I was before and after. Thanks again Scott ;)!

I just ordered a new CE 156" and 8" upper wheels. I have a stock '08 with 2500 miles and the original mav track. can't wait to get rid of it.

When you installed the new 8" wheels, did you use the upper or lower mounting position on the drop down bracket? Any problems with clearance?

Any suggestions would help as I am new to this sled.

First off your going to love that track. I have the Mtn Tamer drop down brackets and they only have one hole in them, as for clearance there is alot of room.

Woodsrider : Who's big wheel kit r you running? I have looked a few of them but have not found one yet that i like. Wishing OFT was making one.......

Actually, I have an EZ-Ryde suspension on mine but I had a Fabcraft big wheel kit on my Vector and I sold them to my cousin who has them on his '09 Nytro with the 156 CE. He's on year 2 and everything is working great, he loves it.

Thanks for the replies. I am planning on installing the new CE 156 in the next week. I will post how it goes.

Well I got the track on and didn't take that long for my first go at it. Installed new 8" idler wheels on top, my '08 had 7" on top, and it took up quite a bit of the slack. Still not where I want to be, slack is around 1 & 3/4". took it out for a test run and it definetly WAY better than the old Mav but need to get it tightened up a bit more. Any ideas on taking up more slack. I am having trouble finding an offset axle for rear wheels so I can go from the 7" up to 8". Any ideas? Guess I could also go with a 9" uppers...

One post said I could move my skid back. Can I do that with a stock skid? If so, how?

You can run the 8" wheels w/o the offset axle. you just loose the "tip up" in the rear.
