Ok guys here is my question, Should I be concerned, when I try to start my RX-1 and it turns over 1/2 Turn and then .. Clunk (loud) & locks up.
Here is the deal, I rode it the other night put on about 75 miles hard rough trails and fast roads. Then pulled it in the barn. Two days later (today) I went in the barn to start it , choke- kill switch- turn key rolled over maybe 1/2 turn then I heard the clunk (like metal to metal) and she froze up. I waited a minute and tried to turn over again and it would not do a thing ( turn 1/8 th then stop).
I then rolled the engine back no problems then foward had a hard time. After doing this a couple of times it seamed to free up? Then I tried to start, it turned over and started. Let warm up add a tittle spin around the yard did not seem to be any problems. Going on a trip soon and wanted to know If any one has seen this problem before. 8) Oil level good Thanks for input..

Check your battery terminals and all conections, then do a load test on it.

I thought I read somewhere thet there is no need for fuel shut off on these, but it sure sounds like you had excess fuel in the motor. Were you over half tank and did you park in on any type of angle? When you started it did you smell un-burned fuel? Exhaust tips wet?
