03 RX1-no throttle response on take off

How the story goes....I rode all day Saturday in freezing rain then in rain. The sled ran good no issues all day. After the run, I put the sled in my enclosed trailer (along with the POLARIS-other halfs seld) and trailed home. Left them overnight. Sunday morning it was around -10 outside. I was getting ready for another ride. RX1 started no issues, backed off the trailer no issues, then took it out of reverse and went to go forward, bogged down after about 2 feet. Tried again, same thing, tired revese same thing. After about 10 minutes of going forward and backwards, it was fine. Went for a ride mid afternoon, no problems on the trails, worked fine. Stopped for about an 1 hour at a buddies house. Went to leave, started fine, hit the throttle, almost went of the handle bars. Same thing again!! Forward, backwards for about 5 minutes, then ran with no issues all the way home..about 100kms.

So...can anyone shed some light on what may be the problem.

TORS!!!

Probably had a small piece of ice got between pivot point for the throttle and the bars. Any extra tension on the throttle cable will trigger it. It happened to me Fri. morning leaving the restaurant after breakfast on thew local TY ride. Flipped it a couple of times and rode the rest of the day.
 
I have been reading a few posts about TORS. People talk about a bypass to confirm if it is the problem or not. Where do I locate the bypass to test this?

Should I check the throttle cable for ice build up? Not sure what to do?

I can't tell you about the bypass........not electrically inclined. But the first thing to check is your throttle for any kind of ice buildup. With the engine off, try to move the throttle flipper toward the end of the bars. You should have a little bit of play in there. If you get a chunk of ice or anything in that pivot point at the base of the throttle flipper, it'll activate the TORS. Maybe some of the gurus who are more electrically adept will chime in.

to bypass tors.... two wires running to the top of carbs, male and female connectors. unplug both wires and reconnect the two from the harness together. this completes the circuit. the two from the carbs can be left unplugged.
