I'll tell you what I did with my shorty after the ECP kit and HH I had my sled tuned by a guy who's an R1 road bike freak and absolutely SMOKED my best frinds 04 F7. He got me off the line but it wasn't 250' and I passed him like he was parked. He was shocked. Quite honestly so was I but synching your carbs and getting your sled to shift right is so KEY listen to LB or Matt.

He'll beat you everytime!!!!
If your racing back to the Cat dealer for repairs...
Don't get me wrong...I like the F7's. I really like the look of the Crossfire on the cover of SnowTech. I have had 3 Cat's and all of them were "finicky" :? It's too bad becuase Cat has come up with some VERY innovative ideas over the years! If they can get their reliability up there with Yamaha I would have one!

Not to many F-7 owners don’t tinker with their sleds when it comes time to race. An F-7 well tunned with remapped ECU is pretty much the benchmark for stock drag racing. I’ve beat several, but cannot get past well tunned ones in a 660' snow run. Being so lightweight is what gives them that extra edge to cross the finish line first. I don’t think you can have an extra fast F-7 and reliability in the same sentence though! JMO
