03 Turbo RX~1 teardown and mods>>> WISH ME LUCK

Well I just started the teardown to fix the leaking exhaust gaskets / donuts. Upon taking out the suspension I found a broken spring, and a couple bad wheels on the Expert X. I got the bars, cowl, seat, tank, turbo, and Y-pipe off. All this to change some gaskets. Having a 4-2-1 pipe made with a TAP header flange, eliminating the 4 donuts and the 2 gaskets. Also, hope to create a little bit more efficient pipe design. I will post pics later tonight, back to work for now. Later

I have a lot of work to do on the expert x. Straps are worn one broken spring, and a couple broken wheels.

At one point in time it had some clearance issues between the studs and the exhaust/tunnel protectors. Note, these pipes dont braze well. Hopefully our fab guy can make me a 4-2-1 that eliminates the 4 donuts and 2 gaskets.

I should have posted this one first. It is before I added the 2" rox riser. Other then that, basically this is what it looked like before I tore it apart. I will for sure be doing the apex seat mod.

Found out that my wife is pregnant. Hopefully I will still have some spare time and money to get sled together. I have a lot of plans for it, but gotta start remodeling the spare bedroom, soon to be nursery. Later!!!
