Ok I am sure all of these topics have been discussed before but I cant seem to find anything when I use the search? I have a lot of questions and I am looking for any help or info you guys can offer. Track? I am looking at buying a ice ripper xt and want to know about clipping, Should I get fully clipped or every third or every other? What else should I be replacing while installing the new track for preventative maint.? ie bearings etc. I have 5500 miles. What chain case oil should I use? Where do I get a 4th wheel kit from and over sized idlers? Also wondering about changing the upper gear to a 23 tooth and where to get them from? Thanks !

bearings- upper and lower in chain case, both bearings on shaft, & seals,
Fully clipped is best for lube on hyfax, make your own 4th wheel kit by cutting existing spacer.
what size track are you looking for, 121 or 136 by ? 1.25, 1.5...
inspect drive axle for cracks on chain case side, just inside tunnel next to bearing
I have a 23 tooth gear if needed $35, north side of GR

04 Warrior comes with 23/38 gears, all set no need for gearing down.

I would highly suggest Amsoil Chaincase lube, It is designed specifically for use in snowmobile chaincases. Better than any straight up gear lube!

I just installed an Ice Ripper with all open windows and clipped every third. Hyfax wore out in 300 miles but I never had a problem with a Predator track that had every third window closed. Another guy on here had even worse wear with a fully clipped Ice Ripper so whatever way you go I would suggest marginal snow wheels and maybe scratchers.
