04' Warrior ??

I have a friend with a stock 04' RED Warrior. He is interested to know if a BOSS seat will benifit the ride quality on this unit. If so what is a good style and height to order. He is pretty much a sit down rider, and rides mostly groomed trails. I'm guessing he weights 230 lbs, and about 6' tall. Also, he would like to add a little height to the handle bars as well, how tall of a riser will the stock cabling and break hose allow?.... Thanks, in advance.

Can't help you with the seat but as far as the riser goes, I'm 6'-2" 220 and I had a 2" riser kit but it wasn't enough for comfortable stand up riding but it was more than enough to clear my knees on sharper turns.

Have him get a seat off an 05 or simply add more foam to his 04 thru an upolstry shop.

I'd get a boss seat, because just from what I have seen and felt those seats are way too low, including the 05 RX-1. I can bearly see over the dash on the 05 and I'm 5'9".

Oops, I didn't read all of your questions; 2 inch riser is about all you can add with stock cables. If you want to go taller you can get the mountain cable off the 05 which is a good 3 inches longer than any of the previous years.

I dont think a boss seat is going to make the ride better, but it might make the seat firmer..

I took my seat to a guy who added 2 inches of foam to the seat for $45 and i was very pleased..

I also added a 1.5 inch riser to the handle bars of my warrior and didnt have to modify anything to make it work.. where over 2 inch risers are too tight on the throttle cable
