I put an 05 Mono shock in my 07 RTX I love the suspension, but after a couple of rides my friend broke his rails on his RX1 with the same suspension. I noticed the newer ones have re enforcements on the rails near the back. A plate on the inside and outside that I am missing. I am a big guy and would like to add these to mine. Does anyone make these pieces on here I think it looks like just 4 plates and 4 bolts.

They are just a flat piece of aluminum with the end bent out a little to fit over the front swing arm mount, $88 ea. I broke both my rails and one of the braces so I just built the ones for the outside out of stainless. We'll see if these hold up any better.
I think you can order that kit from Yamaha.

Yamaha wants about 450 bucks for the kit. I have a friend at a machine shop who is going to make some of the plates for anyone interested in getting their own bolts and rivets. He is going to do a small run. If you are interested PM me and I will find out a price. The more of us that buy them I think the chea[er it will be to a point.
