Last year I bought a new, leftover '05 Rage. It has the old Pro Action suspension. From day 1 the suspension had a harsh noise on the suspension rebound like the rear shock was topping out. I've made several adjustments to get the sled to ride decent and steer like raising the front strap, 6" wearbars, increasing the full rate to max, and increasing the rear shock damping to position 3 of 17. The noise is now gone at speeds above 20mph, but still there at slow speeds when using most of the suspension travel. It steers well now and rides well above 20 mph, but still makes noise at slow speeds in the bumps and seems like the shock is topping out. Has anyone experienced this?

The sound is normal...sounds like your close to the setup I had on my Warrior with the same skid, Don't listen to everything you hear that skid is not bad, I enjoyed the ride for five seasons, very plush ride, it will bottom out if you ditch bang but for normal trail riding it's a very good skid.

I'm happy with the setup but worried about the clunking noise. Anyone know what the noise is?

The transfer control rods make that noise as they cycle when the sled travels over bumps. Irritating but not harmful.
