All,
I have an '05 RS Venture with stock skis.
I corrected all darting by installing 6" Woody's Doolys.
I found that the sled did not corner well with these so I changed to Stud Boy carbides with shaper bars. My handleing improved dramatically but my darting came back.

Has anyone found the right carbide setup for this sled?

What about Berg. triple points?

Should I just go back to Woodys and increase my ski pressure? (It is currently in the factory setting)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Stud Boy Deuce 9" and one hole short on limiter straps.
I had the ski shims on the ToDo list but on hold because:
"don't fix what is not broken". ... but you still can go if you fell you're broken.

chow..

I ride Berg. triple points around 8000 miles and like them but shimming the ski was not enought to completely get rid of darting... depending of the snow conditions. So I had installed home made corrector on the front of the skis and that work pretty well with the Bergstroms.

This year, I ride 6000 miles with snowtrackers semi-extreme... the best thing i ever try. Darting is 99% gone in all conditions and the self sharpening carbide blades corner very well and hold very well to wear. Because of the good darting control, this increase alot your suspension adjusting range and you can find the sweet spot that can be impossible to get with others... Also no loss on the MPG.

I don't think i will run anything else......maybe a try on the snowtrackers extreme....

P.S. aVenture: did you get my MP on cmiq ???

The Curve XS skis are a great "all-around" ski.

I have only ridden in about 10 inches of powder and they perform very well.

My Curves came with Stud Boy Shaper Bars and 6 inch carbides, which Sean, and Nick at Curve Industries suggested.

These skis do not dart, they just seem to ignor other tracks.

The mountain skis I ran for most of the year served well, however after putting the Curve XS skis on I realized I was sacrificing trail performance with the mountain skis.

Much less turning effort is required with the Curves.

Just my opinion,

Hope this helps in finding a suitable combination. ;)!

Thanks for all of the responses.

How difficult was the installation with the Curves?
Do I need an adaptor kit?

No kit required with Curves. Comes with an oversized ski rubber that provides a nice rear bite shim.

I'm running "Stud Boy C&A Razor 7.5 carbides", as suggested by the guys at Curves. I love the way the sled handles.

Hope this helps! ;)!

Ya I am using Woodys Dooly's 6" looking to change I am torn between the tripple points or the Duece bars..............
