When for the first ride on the new RX-1..WOW! Tons of power, great motor and extremely smooth. It was a little tipping in the corners and too much ski lift, will work on that. But when it was warm the only way I could get it to start was to give it some gas. Is this normal and if not what do you think is wrong. Thanks guys!

I have always had to give mine a little gas, have over 1500 miles, and still do.
What's it idling at? I'd get through a tank of gas first, adjust the idle to around 12-1300. My 05 starts like a swiss watch.

It is idling around 1400 but it is beginning to sound like this is normal.

Its pretty normal for them to need you to give it a little throttle while starting..
After i sincronized my carbs i didnt have to hit the throttle at all... starts alot better!

The gas heats up in the carbs because of the coolant that runs to them. Which is the reason many of us have installed a carb coolant shutoff valve.

Give it a little gas at startup. Idle is fine, don't know what it is though.
