Hi.

I am having problems with the automatic cold start (choke) on my -05 Warrior/Apex. The red lamp in the instrument is lit and no codes are thrown, but the choke does not engage. The sled normally starts, but has an uneven idle at about 1100-1200 rpms. This means I have to manually hold the throttle a bit to get around 2000+ rpms until it gets warm. From there it idles and runs just fine.

Any tips on what this could be? Any sensor? Moist ?

If your sled is an 05 it does not have automatic choke the choke will be on the left control block. It will be a small lever on the bottom portion. It will move right to left.

So it appears it is a 2006 then. No manually lever, I had that on my RS Viking :-) The automatic choke works now and then...

ther is no auto choke it is either an 05 with carbs and a maunual choke or it is an 06 with EFI a they are completle different looking sleds too. if it is a 06 or newer it will be called an apex and will be EFI and if it stumbles when cold look for the thread on CO adjustments.

Thanks for replying thor452. It is an 2006, and here in Norway it was called RX Warrior. And yes, it has the EFI. When under -15 degrees celsius I am not able to get it started at all. I will look up the CO adjustments thread.

ahh didnt know you were in norway (no location in profile) (site rule too) good luck with your problem allot of good info on here i hope you figure it out and report back to help others.
