Friend says his '05 Vector feels spongy. It's in the rear suspension. Any thoughts on how/what to adjust & what people have found to be a good setup? Thanks

I see no one has replied to your post. I have an 05 Vector which I bought new in Jan. 05. I never could get the suspension to ride comfortable. I found that the rear shock is not rebuildable and was toying with the idea of replacing with an adjustable shock from the 06 Nytro. I was reading on this forum that the Nytro owners were not really happy with their ride either so I opted to change out the complete suspension. I bought a ZX2 when they first came out and could not be happier. The ride is great, sled does not bottom and it really changes how the sled handles the whooped out trails at the end of the weekend. Still ride the sled and still love the ride. I tried all kinds of adjustments with the original skid and could never get a good ride.

Thanks for the response. After looking at it further, we did narrow it down to the rear shock. The fact that it is not adjustable sucks. It must need to be replaced. It's not completely junk, but just doesn't rebound all of the way. Really poor timing, as we're going on a trip this week.

Www.barnofparts.Com to the rescue! Travis should have a good used replacement for a fair price. Give him a call!

I have piggyback adjustable rear shocks that are a direct fit for 05 vector. No mods needed to install. It's aluminum body so rebuildable in future unlike stock 05 shock.
