05 Vector VS 06 Vector??

I am looking into a vector and a local dealer has a leftover 2005 vector in stock for $6500. What if any are the differences between a 05 and 06?

any updates on a 2006 that a 2005 needs??


also is 6500 a good price for a new 2005??

$6500 is ok. Is it Reverse?I got my leftover in March '05 (post season) with reverse for $6800.

The '05 needs a clutch upgrade and a CDI upgrade. Have the dealer perform them even before you take delivery.

There are significant rear suspension differences between the '05 and '06 with reverse. If no reverse then they are not much different

If you want a little better performance in rough terrain the '05 is supposed to be better. '05 has Pro-active suspension '06 has Mon-RA.

The Nytro has the '05 suspension and I believe the '07 Apex RTX will have the '05 suspension as well so that kind of makes it a consensus that the '05 is better suited for rougher terrain. Many of us however are not in love w/'05 Rear shock. Nytro and I assume '07RTX have same suspension but better rear shock.

All in all they are excellent machines. Little things to work out but take it to the bank that you may have the best engine in all of snowmobiling.
