I do a lot of trail riding & I love the ride quality of my '05 Venture, however, the steering is a bit heavy. I'm thinking about adding a leftover '06 RS Rage or Vector to my fleet & am wondering about the ride quality of these two machines. Does the longer track make that big of a difference & is the steering any heavier than the Vector?

Thanks in advance!!!! ;)!

Most guys will tell you get the 136" its a better ride in continous bumps and much less fishtailing in loose granular snow and hardly any noticable dfference in cornering ..better traction, also stopping and taking off IMO its the only way to go for basic cross country trail riding! A 121" shouldn't even be available unless you are buying a snowcross sled and are looking for extreme lightness and are always getting BIG AIRsince lightness is more manageable while airborn..if you notice even on a snowcross track they dont get stutter bumps like some of the trails we ride and thats where the extra length really is nice too! Plus if you like to drag race sometimes you will always have the upperhand with a 136" Hope this helps you.

Don't have much seat time on the vector, but the wifes 05 rage sure rides great and the 05 has the old pro action ck rear susp.
Personally I think the 136's are meant for the 4 strokes.

I have an 05 Vector and think it rides great. I have never owned a sled with a longer track, So who knows, Maybe 15" is better, But with the style riding I do it doesn't warrent the extra money for the longer track.

once the rage suspension is set for the rider,
its like a lincoln on a dirt road.
stock clutching was close, but some fine
tuning and you'll use the torque this
longstroke puts out.

Throw an Apex/Attak seat on a Rage and you have a slightly less HP'ed sled than an Attak. You get a lighter, more fuel efficient sled with a better looking front end to boot ;)!
