06 Apex bar vs. 08 Nytro Bars - Height Difference Please

Re: Handlebars

I have run stock bars on short track Nytro and then changed to 06 Apex then to handlebar kit updated 07 bars for apex and work great.
I like the mountain bar and little bit higher with 1.5" spacer/bolts on my short track.
Not to crazy about mountain nytro handlebars!
Way to far back so climbing hills feels like you can't control it and flop it over easy.
Handlebars are about 4"ahead on mine.

powderlights - the bars that were updated (the 07 updated bars with the wire link) will work on the 08 Nytro? Can I use the link? Do I need to keep the digital bar graph down so I don't puke out the ECM?

Anyone?

my head is spinning,do we use the 06 apex bars that were removed,or the 06 bars with the updated kit ,or just use 07 bars? someone please spell this out so a idiot can understand.

I had an '06 Apex GT. Less then stellar heated grips. I bought the '07 bars and wiring for $29.95 which was a discount for the '06 Apex owners. The key to getting hot grips was to keep the '06 bars and only use the updated wire harness (Sub-Lead) from the '07 which changes the wiring from series to parallel. Result is incredibly hot grips. Any more than 2 bars and it's too hot.

Using the upgraded sub-harness changes the current from series to parallel. When you wire in parallel rather than series you get more current.

"In a parallel circuit, each device is directly connected to the power source. This means that each device receives the same voltage. The amount of current flowing through each device is dependent on the impedance/resistance of that particular device. If devices are added to the power source in a parallel configuration, the current demand/flow from the power source increases.

In a series circuit, the current must flow through one device to get to the next device. This means that the rate of current flow through all devices is the same. The voltage across each device depends on its impedance/resistance of each device and the current flowing through the circuit. When adding more components in a series circuit, the current flow decreases, if the applied voltage remains constant."

The Phazer Mountain guys say this Yamaha sub lead kit fixed their cold grips: kit number: 90891-50150
