When engine is cold at the beginning of the day, it will start but will idle real low and gradually build up to the normal high idle at warm up. However, after a half hour to an hour stop and you go out to start it up, you have to give it a little throttle for it to start. Also, you have to hold the throttle at high idle for 5 seconds or so or it won't stay running. Has anyone else had this problem or know what the problem might be? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you do not have any warning lights on the display I would suspect a fuel problem. Perhaps low fuel rail pressure. Also since your sled is a couple years old you may just need to clean the air induction. Deposits form on the throttle's and intake that, over time rob performance. Although cleaning away the deposits with carb cleaner is necessary after a couple years and should be performed as maintenence, I still suspect low fuel pressure.
