Got a 06 apex and now I know they aren't the best at getting real warm but the left side doesn't get as warm as the right. Does anybody know what may be the cause of this?

For some strange reason i don't have this problem on my apex. The person before me may have done the series to parallel mod to it. What might be happening to you is that the right side is getting burned out because iirc that is the side that gets the power first and then the left side, thus the right side gets more power, thus burning out first? The mod I was talking about takes the wires and runs them in a parallel circuit. The danger in this is that yes they get fire hot(literally), but it can cause the heating elements to melt because there is 50% less resistance. I literally could go gloveless if i had hand guards these puppies are so hot.

I've noticed on any sled I ride with heated grips the left side doesn't feel as warm simply because my right hand is always completely closed around the right, only my thumb moves, where on the left side you are constantly opening you hand to reach for the brake. So the left side has more wind hitting it and cools it down. That's the conclusion I've come up with anyways

Could be a broken warmer, just had that happen to me. Now warmer RSI kit glue and all new grips easy install 100 dollars on eBay with heated hooks and Yamaheater complete and awesome fix.
Best way to test is ohm meter see if there is electrical current to the side that is not as warm.

The warmers get so hot in parallel because you now have 4 times the wattage. Like going from a 100 to a 400 watt bulb but only double the current at full on.

X2 on kidastra post,
I have the yamaheaters with the boost, the warmers heat up nice and hot Thanks to Rock... If I'm on fast trails I tend to let go of the bar here and there which cools the glove, My left hand never feels as warm as the right unless I'm in real tight bush trails and squeezing the bar,
Warm your sled up and grab the bars without gloves on, they should feel the same, mine do but left hand is always colder,
