i did the 07' wire harness upgrade w/ my 06' handle bars and it worked good for getting warmer hands. my question to you guys is on my sled i deveopled an issue w/ my sled shutting off going down the trail muiltable times and found it to happen only when my hand/thumb warmers are on. when i turned them off the sled never shut off again in 80 miles+ riding on the same 211 mile trip when when on it would shut down. anyone else have this issue?
I have about 1000 miles on this same mod with no issues.

well my buddy(yamaha mech.) did some research for me and said that the charging systems are designed to have alot of extra out put of voltage and @5000 rpms it suppose to put out 14 volts(which mine does around 2200. i also have a bad cell in my battery(which i am now replacing) which he thinks is pulling enough juice away form the ignition to shut the sled off as the new wire harness form the 07' bars take more power when they are put in the 06' he said the newer apex's come w/ a heavier charging system for more power out put.
