Got a 2011 apex xtx and my right hand warmer stopped worked last ride or so out at end of the season! Left still works fine as so dosent the thumb I think! What is common on these sleds for the hand warmer to stop working break in wire? Or element? Should I just change the whole hand warmer and be done? Thanks

One of mine died on my 2012 XTX last season. Since one was working, I knew the circuit was good.
I ordered the element, grip and rivet (black) Some say you can save the grip, but it's pretty tough and cheap enough to just replace. Drill out the rivet, cut the grip off, and peel the heater off the bar. Trace the wire back down the riser to where it plugs into the harness. It's stupid easy. Route the wire, peel and stick the new element. Spray with hair spray on the handlebar and in the grip, slide the new one on, and put in the rivet. Game over.
Use a heat gun if needed to soften up the new grip, or to peel off the old one to soften glue. Hairspray works as lube when wet, and glue when dry.
Good luck!

I’m in US dollars, but just google Yamaha parts and price it out. Keep in mind, there is a right and left hand version. Order the correct one as they are shaped different.
The grip warmer set for $57.59 will get you the Grip, heater element, and two rivets. If you can save the grip that helps. But the set makes sense. Keep in mind that is one side. Set means all the parts needed for one side.

Otherwise the grip is $11. I don’t see the element by itself, so you may have to buy the kit.
Good luck!

also as long as you have the grip off spray the inside of the bar with spray foam you will have warmer grip.
