I need help guys. My sled started and ran fine in the garage on Friday, Saturday it wouldn't start, no noise from fuel pump. I played with the relays and I can feel and hear the click in the fuel pump relay when the key is turned but nothing from the pump. I swapped out the relays with the ones next to it and no change. Still hear and feel the click, but no pump.
So I ran wires directly from the battery jump terminals to the pins inside the plug on the fuel pump and the pump came on and ran... So my pump works but I'm not getting power from the relay to the pump.
Started tracing wires and have hit dead ends everywhere, wires are all looking good. What could be my problem??????

i had the same problem couple years ago, 1 first problem i had was a rotted wire in the harness red with green tracer if i remember correctly to fuel pump relay it was located in the harness at the 90 degree bend of the d-box by the prim clutch ( this same wire runs to the starter relay check connection there as well) check your fuses could be simple.

I've found two things:
Switch relays...in other words there are two relays possibly more with the same connection...these relays jam at times...
Other solution, carry a spare relay....
Common enough on real cold days(like -30*C or more)..
So if this happens to you in the bush - don't crank till your battery is dead...
Notice the fuel pump wind up when you put your key on initially?
If this don't happen, don't even crank it.. flip relays or change it...
I use the light relay I believe(from memory) - if this restores your fuel pump...then you've found what it is!

Just went throught this myself.
Same symptoms, fuel pump works when remote 12v applied, relay clicks as it should even after swapping out a new one, but no fuel pump when you turn the key.
Check the white connector that installs on top of starter solenoid/relay that is hanging on the battery bracket on the right side (chaincase side) of the sled.
Pull this white connector up/out and check for corrosion and proper grip/connection to the spade lugs. Clean terminals well and make sure the spade lugs are gripping properly inside the connector. Apply dielectric grease and re-connect.
This tip came from a fellow TY'er, if you do a search you should find the pics etc. I tore every ground block apart and did my share of cussn until I found the gremlin.
Hope this helps, Cheers!

I had a dead fuel pump a month ago. It had a blown fuse. It is under the airbox, attached to the battery bracket. Good luck!

Ground blocks and battery can cause this good luck
