06 Demo Sleds in Muni MI and NY

...well thats strange....I was not in Muni but rather in the Paradise Area and met up with Big Guy and he also came over to Paradise to play in the snow and said he just had the chance to ride them both...the ER and the Attak in Muni...said they where awesome...maybe they moved the location...
 

They were on elm ave on saturday and sunday morning. Do you want me to show you the release form I signed. I went friday also and they were a noshow on that day. Went back on saturday and was glad I did. Buddy bought an er but I think hes changing to an attack. Alot of people were there and we had to wait 30 to 45 minutes to our turn. Great Ride wished everyone could have been there of my friends.
 
I would say Yamaha screwed up the PR on this one........BIG TIME! :( Our friend who went up Sat. went to where they were supposed to be, and nobody there knew where the sleds were..........interesting!!!

And they were there Sunday?????? Only supposed to be Fri & Sat.......even guys at Christmas Sports (local Yamaha dealer) told me last week it was Fri & Sat. :?
 
I asked when I left onsat. if they were going to be there on sun. and they said only in the morning. They had to move to a different location. I could not believe we got ride the sleds the way we wanted to ride. It made a difference for my buddy who has sno-checked one. Really made him happy on his pick. He was a polaris-man who was going to buy apolaris turbo. He had a grin on his face yet. Thanks again to who ever set this up.

I understand that..........I'm just pointing out that there were a number of irritated "locals" who were really interested in the 06's but were left with a bad taste in their mouths. :( I figure with your connections, this would get the message to Yamaha faster than other "channels".

I just "heard" from one of my Escanaba buds (via a different website) that he heard that the Yamaha truck did actually finally show up around 7:00 Friday evening. Just FYI.
 
The truck was there at 5pm on Friday - we drove through there at that time and it was sitting on the side of the rode in front of the cop staion.

They were allowing demo rides on Saturday, we did some, and were thinking about doing it on Sunday as well.

They supposedly got delayed because of the massive snowstorms in Wisconsin.

OH! Well I guess it falls in the catagory of "$hit Happens".......can't control Mom Nature...other than being somewhere they weren't......i.e., a different location for the rides than what was published. :?

Buddah - I wasn't sure if we were going to ride into Muni or not. Otherwise I probably would have mentioned it here on Thursday before we drove out. We were staying in Manistique. It was actually a group of about 8 of use from the snowmobile news trasher boards. A few of the non-Yami guys got to ride them and liked the Apex as well. 2 friends who own warriors (11,000 miles total) were plannin on getting Attacks and wanted to ride them first - they were impressed!

I met you at the Ty rides at Alger Falls garage. I was sitting next to you talking about where you were from blah blah. Anyways I was out at Munising for the demo ride Friday there were not there at 1 P.M. So I went to Christmas Motorsport they said that they were supposed to be there and they had no clue where they were? So we went to the casino for couple hours till 5:15P.M. Then on the way back I double checked Elm street sure enough I saw the Yamaha semi truck so I search for the guys and found them. I spoke to them well you were supposed to be here earlier they said no Sat and Sun demo rides. I said well Tom (Mr Sled) from Totallyamaha told me Friday aand Sat. Terry froom Yamaha said well I know Tom ok you come back Sat morning your the first on the list. Went back Sat sure enough I was the first crew went out to check out the trail before demo ride got to ride the ATTAK. Come back said to me do you want to go out again I said sure got to ride the APPEX ER came back asked me again. So i wanted to try the 05 Vector for my girl, came back asked me if i wanted to go again I said no I want to go ride went back to Newberry. Boy when I mention Tom they took care of me!! then small world I ran into Tom!!!! at Pine Stump Junction and told him that I got to ride the 06. :Rockon: Thanks Tom for making me feel superior from Totallyamaha Group.
 
LOL...Bigguy, that was strange to be going through the parking lot and there you are unloading your sled....I am very happy that you had the chance to ride the sleds and it was great to finally meet your sweetheart. ;)!
