06 nytro low oil sensor??

Is there anyway to test to make sure the low oil sensor is working ??? My oil tank had a crack in it and I fixed it but if it ever brakes again I want to make sure it will warn me if I'm losseing oil

The dipstick is your sensor. Remove the dipstick, plug it back in while it hangs beside your tank. Since it isn't in any oil now, it should tell you so!

Good question. I'm not sure. You are sure that it is full of oil though, so it won't matter anyway. I'd cover the dipstick hole though, in case it wants to spit oil everywhere.

There shouldn't be any pressure in the tank, but like Roger said, I'd probably get someone to hold their hand against the opening in case it wants to spit any oil out.

Probably not as it's a pressurized system.
