These are the property lines that I found.
Even after the guy put his driveway in and parked a travel trailer on his lot, I still couldn’t find lot lines that showed them on an angle.

That summer we started putting the sled garage back together.
With the new slab poured up to the existing, it wasn’t perfect. We had to grind the concrete to get rid of the high side so our sled Dollie’s and lifts would roll across the floor without getting hung up. That was a PITA too.
Finally got it ready for the next season.
Nytro got a taller windshield and some LED lights.

The season was approaching fast and I didn’t get a chance to get the driveway done completely like I wanted. The 23 season wasn’t the greatest but we got about 2600 miles in. I ended up buying an 18 Sidewinder XTX 137 just before 23 season.
I did a lot of work to it before the snow fell.
Has a Hurricane 300hp tune, CAI, Viper primary with 911 cover, TP heavy hitters clutch kit, over 220 I-Grips, DuPont slides, QS3 shocks that I had revalved, silicone charge pipes and OSP muffler.
It was a decent year but the only time the Nytro was driven was by the wife for one weekend.

I did install new hyfaxes and put on the greaser when I did the windshield back in January of 23.

I was fighting plantar fasciitis since October of 22 and my foot doctor told me I needed surgery that was going to take me off my feet for 6 weeks so I said not until after snowmobiles season. I could barely walk on my left foot and had to wear a stupid boot when I slept or else I couldn’t put any weight on it in the mornings. So sled season ended in 23 and I had surgery on my daughter’s birthday, 4/24/23. Which is also tomorrow by chance.
Spent a lot of time with the cat those weeks. They went in and had to relief cut the tendons on the bottom of my foot.
After that healed I had to finish my driveway up north. The weeds were getting out of hand in front of the garage and I needed to widen it with more gravel. I dragged the skidsteer back up and got to work.

On December 14 of 22 I had to put down my best friend. It hurt but her allergies and arthritis was causing her so much pain and discomfort I had to do the humane thing for her. Lola was 13 years and was a great dog and best friend.
I tell you this because after Lola, I wasn’t sure I’d want another dog because it’s hard loving something so much that you know isn’t forever. And when I bought Lola I wanted a male Germain Rottweiler but my wife wanted a mini English bulldog and that’s what Lola was but she had boxer mixed in so she wouldn’t have the sinus issues that bulldogs have. Anyway, she got her way.
When I came home from Wisconsin grading the driveway, my wife and daughter surprised me with my Rotty.
Say hello to Mulder, yes I was an X-Files fan. My pure bred male Germain Rottweiler. I couldn’t believe it!
He’s so awesome! I couldn’t help but to fall in love with him. He just wants to go everywhere I go.

So anyway, I had a company dump some gravel in the driveway up there and they told me they would dump as they drive out and so I figured I’d only have to spread it out to make it even. Boy was I wrong!
I went up with my dad one weekend figured I’d get some yard work done and some gravel raked out, we could barely pull in the driveway in his car.
There’s no way I’m gonna be able to rake this out!

By the next morning it was drying out and started looking a lot better. I was able to backdrag with a lot of down pressure to squeeze the water out and really pack it in.

Before the 23-24 season started I wanted to enclose the landing that’s in the garage going into the house. That door going into the house off the garage is a hallway/laundry/utility entrance which leads directly into the kitchen. We come home from riding and have to walk into the kitchen to undress our gear with no good place to hang our gear up to dry.
Figured I’d build a winter version of a mud room, a snow room if you will.
A good friend of mine, that I got back into sledding the year before this, came up with me and helped build this room. This is what we started with on Friday morning after getting up there late Thursday night.
I had a bunch of treated 2x6 that I hoarded to build on to the back deck. Figured I’d use them up to save us from going to Home Depot 40 minutes away in Wausau.

Friday night we were out of insulation and it looked like we’d actually be putting up drywall the next day so I ran and got drywall and more insulation.
Saturday morning it started coming together.

I installed some boxes and ran romex for lighting, outlets and a baseboard heater. Then if really got closed in.
With the last few sheets of drywall that were left over we started covering the outside of the room.
I didn’t have the door on yet but I felt we made good progress for 2 guys on a weekend.
The snow didn’t seem like it wanted to show up that year. I went up a few times just to go but never did any riding. Of course my buddy Mulder had to come up with the wife and I in January for a 3 day weekend. He got big since August when I got him.
While we were there I put up some helmet hangers I grabbed off Amazon.

So here we are going into February and I only rode one time but that was down in Janesville, Johnson Creek WI to be exact. And I had my Viper at home so I rode that.
I went up a few times and let my daughter, Julianna ride the 120. She’s got it down now. I can honestly say she put on more miles in the yard than I did that entire season. 318 miles in southern Wisconsin is all I got and it was in 2 days. Sad year for sledding.
I was able to work on the sleds and get a few things done while I was up there.
Mulder loves it in Wisconsin. He loved being able to run full sprint around the yard and made it his home from the first time he walked in the door.

The “snow room” did finally get finished off. Lights, outlets and baseboard heat all working.
And the outside finished off.
Biggest news came in July of 24 when my oldest son, Jack decided he was going off to join the AirForce! Couldn’t be prouder. It’s hard to send off your son to get screamed at, put through the wringer in the Texas heat and not be there to help him along.
In the meantime Mulder continues to get huge.
