my main question is will the o6 gt rear suspension bolt up to a 06 rtx into the existing holes, i know the 07-08-09 rtx has a different suspension and different mounting holes in the tunnel, but i think the 06 rtx the mounting points are the same as the gt or er.

In 06 the RTX, GT, & ER all used the same mono-shock rear supension. The only difference was the shock that was used along with the supension. The GT used the Ohlins shock which was adjusted at the handle bars. I'm not sure if the RTX is wired for this. If you stayed with the KYB stock that came with the RTX you will not have a problem.

You will need the sub lead that connects from the harness above the chaincase to the shock. I believe you will also have to drill a hole for the wire to pass through. The sled is able to accept the Ohlins however you need the sub lead. Also don't forget to use the improved wire routing and a milllion tie raps on the wire. I would mount the wire to the skid (properly and feed the wire throught the tunnel then connect it to the harness above the chaincase. This helps as it gets a bit hard to see what's going on with the skid in.
