If you swap skids from an 06 RTX to a 09 RTX will the mono holes in the tunnel mount up with the proaction or whatever the other skid is called? Found out the w-arm is completely unattached to my buddies sled haha.
I am pretty sure there is a difference in the mounting of them. Particularily at the reat hole. What's wrong with the 09 RTX skid? I have a new one out of an 07 and I have seen others for sale in the classifieds. PM me if you want any more information.

The 09 RTX is out of a totaled sled of someone we know quite well and is willing to sell it to my buddy dirt cheap. The 06 is the sled we want to install it into. The reasoning behind this is because we want a quick and simple fix to his busted up w-arm without more than a night of down time.
If you have access to a digital camera and tape measure, I'll try to help you out. I am positive the skid from my 07 is the same as the 09. Take a picture of where the front arm bolts in. I am thinking this is the same on both sleds.
Check the front mount reinforcement locations and compare to my pictures. I believe these should be the same. Next, compare the rear mount holes. On my RTX, the skid was originally mounted below the running boards on the two drop brackets. This is where I think there is going to be a difference. If you have drop brackets similar to mine, measure the center to center distance betweek the holes for the front arm mount and the rear arm mount (lower hole in the drop bracket.) I'll try and measure this C-C tonight and let you know in the morning.
The pictures are a little out of order but you should get the jist. Clicking on them will give you a larger view. Let me know if this helps.

The front mounting holes on the Proactive are ahead of the Mono. Pretty sure. I know they are not the same....

Yeah because the 06 RTXs came with the mono and not the proactive. I wonder if you could move the mounting brackets for the mono skid in the front ahead to line up with the proactive skid?
Yep, the fronts are different. I thought they were the same for some reason. I took one picture off the Yamaha webpage of an Apex and compare it to my RTX. The RTX does have the pro-action mounted farther forward. If the rear drop brackets were the same and in the same location, you could use the rear as is and drill two new holes for the front. You could but the stamped steel reinforcement brackets for the RTX or just make your own.

Really. Not a big deal to drill 2 new holes in front. The original reinforcement should capture/hold them if memory serves me properly.
What I'm not clear on is the rear brackets. Could there be one used for the Mono, another the Proactive - and both would use the same mounting holes to fasten the bracket to the tunnel?
If not, shouldn't be a big deal there either. Just make your own bracket from some alum. plate, or maybe use a set of those SLP drop brackets or something similar.
