My Apex has been garaged all summer and most of the time on a trickle charger. I started it twice since last season. I took the trickle charger off of it a couple weeks ago. Today it won't start. The gauges do their thing, I can hear the fuel pump, but it doesn't crank at all. The only indicator is that the Low Coolant Temp Indicator is lit and remains so...
Thinking maybe it was the battery I tried to jump it from a truck. No luck there, still no crank.
Anyone experience this?? Thanks in advance.

You said the battery seems good and it would not turn over even with a jump start.
I would start by checking your fuses.
If there is not a blown fuse then i would check the starter relay. it could be that it is corroded and not making contact or possibly even frozen. Try warming it up for a while with a heatgun or hair dryer.
the starter relay is mounted beside the battery.
If those check out fine. You can hook a test light to the power wire on your starter and a ground and turn the key. If test light comes on power is getting to the starter but starter is not turning = bad starter
If it is neither of those then it could be corrosion on the ground blocks in the wiring harness.

Thanks. It's possible the battery is bad as it's two years old. However it doesn't crank at all, even when jumping from a truck. The sled is dry and relatively warm still in the garage, so I don't think it's a moisture or cold issue. I replaced the starter relay last season. There was some corrosion in the harness and I've had ongoing issues of needing to turn the key a bunch of times before it'll start, but never with the low coolant temp displayed. That one has me confused. I'll have to pull it apart tomorrow and check the fuses.

maybe this has nothing to do with it. But I had a leaky heat exchanger in the UP a few weeks ago. and if I stopped and let it idle the sled shut it self off with the low coolant and temp light on. I could always start it back up though. Maybe something simple with the temp sensor or the coolant level sensor messing with the ECU?

It was the starter relay.

Following up on my post, in my case it was the actual ignition switch. I replaced the relay last year with no improvement but replaced the switch a few weeks ago and I'm happy to report it starts every time (well, every time it's over zero degrees out). The low coolant temp light was just low coolant temp. Once it started and warmed up it went away as usual. I just didn't expect to see it when the garage was over 40 degrees.
