Have a apex all stock except for i long tracked it to 136 with 1.25 track and 168 studs. Out of the hole it revs to 10500 and shifts out to about 9500 and very slowly pull backup to 10,500 after a long pull. Also tried silver secondary wrapped at 100 degrees and same effect. This is in hard pack or deep snow. Is this normal? My 06 nytro comes out of the hole at 8500 and pulls there all the way through. Thanks for any help

The silver secondary spring will make it worse. if you back off the suspension settings for weight transfer you can make it better. The only way to really get rid of it is go aftermarket clutching.
I can hook ya up with a set of 40/10 heelclickers for your primary for $150.

Crap!. I just orded a set of Drag-n-flys from Rich today. Got a setup for these? Also should i regear? Still running the stock setup from the apex. Wish i would of seen this post before i would of bought yours.

I know exactly what you are going through with the overshift... I fought the same condition for several weekends. Drag and Flies worked well with H/C White spring... search under "Woodysattack", Kurt has done extensive testing with excellent results. His setup works well. However, address your traction needs with at least 144 of 1.450" studs.

Drag & Fly set-up

Pm me have a few different setups you can try. Very glad to help you out . Been testing these for the last couple years. Just give me your cell phone number. Much easier to explain over the phone. Thanks Woodysattack. Kurt

If you want something for having fun at low cost....tries helix Yamaha 47° and spring green-green green on the primary....and the secondary at 6-1....accelation is very good....the best test at this time for me.
You start to rev at 10500 and final pull at 10700 ;)!
You can also put Dalton full ajustable flyweight....I have my kit for next season!
I run with the 24th gear, next season I re-put the 23th gear and I do OverDrive my clutch.
