Went out on the lake yesturday and made a couple of runs. First things first.
Wifes sled 06 apex rtx. This sled was taken down to Woody's after I bought it and he did the following things to it. ( he called it a power up kit) $500.00
Set timing 2 or 3 degrees higher, shaved the helix and installed a silver secondary spring set at 3 and 3. Installed windage plates and I believe a speed sheath. I installed a 144 studs 1.375 on the 1 1/4 hack saw track.

My sled 07 apex gt. This is what I have done so far. I installed a 1" predator track with 144 1.375 gold diggers down the center. Shaved my helix and installed a white secondary spring set at 3 and 3.

Evan and I lined these up. They were realy close each race. The rtx had a better mid range. Top end was about the same. Actually the 07 with the 1" track hooked up better on the hard pack and or the loose stuff but the rtx would catch up and go ahead about 2 sled length and that is where they stayed.

The rtx was tacking 10900 and the gt was tacking 11000.

I perchaced a pioneer clutch kit and installed it last night. I also installed windage plates and drilled a few holes in my air box.

After I run them again I will let you know if the clutch kit is as good as they say.

I think they handle about the same. The best investmant I made was pilot skis for both sleds. I tried simons skis and didn't like them as well. You will want to pull the limiter strap down one hole from the bottom. This will help stop ski lift in the corners.
