After the first 300 miles on my new Attak......i have a "ticking" noise coming from the clutch side. All the bolts seem to be tight. Now have close to 900 miles and have a "rattle" coming from the speedometer assembly...again all the screws seems to be tight. Im not trying to be "nitpicking" just curious if anyone else has had the same things going on, and if so, if they know how to cure them. Thanks in advance.
Both of ours have a mild tick in the clutch, I think it's normal, and one of ours has a vibration rattle in the top cover/dash pod. The throttle levers also rattle like crazy when they are warming up.

I have the same rattle, it sounds like there is something loose in the dash area. I am a nitpicker too, and I will eventually find it.......

I also have a rattling speedometer pod. I pulled it back and the buzzing went away. I might take a look at mounting and see if some shims or rubber washers would help.

Vibrating Speedo here as well, but if we are complaining about a few minor vibrations then we have it pretty good. I noticed it this weekend while riding. On decel at slow speeds, it sounds much worse.

Tick
I get a tick slowing to stop on my 06 Attak. I have five-hundred and fifty miles. Have just noticed it. I thought it could be ice build up around the track.

I posted the same problem a while back and no answers.I'm not sure if it isn't in the steering or in the dash, but it bugs the hell out of me.Wish I had my noisy 2 stroke back then I couldn't hear it.

Yep, the rattle was driving me crazy last weekend. I have serious OCD and I will find it and fix it, it is just so hard to stop the sled when I am having so much fun!

Re: Tick
Probably the primary clutch disengaging from the belt. Every sled does it, few are quiet enough that you can hear it.Bad Attitude said:I get a tick slowing to stop on my 06 Attak.

Some of the ticking noise you are hearing may be from the gear reduction. I know my buddy went around and around on this with an RX-1 and thought it was primary clutch noise at first. After he pulled the clutch off and the noise was still there, he figured out it was the straight cut gears in the gear reduction. I know I can hear it more on my Attak when I have the hood and side cover off.
