Just ordered the 2 wheel marginal wheel kit for my 2007 Attak.

Where is the recommended placement for these? I did a search and some are placing on the curve of the rail, others in front of the back wheels. Do you need to drill holes or is the kit meant to be placed without drilling holes?

You have to drill holes in the front curve of the rail, not sure on the back. I run the 2 in the curve, seem to help slide wear a little

If you ordered the Attak specific kit (SMA-8FT95-00-00) it is meant to be installed about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way back on the rails in the area with the biggest gap between wheels. This is where most Attak owners notice the most hyfax wear. It also comes with some additional bracing to strengthen the rail in the area it mounts due to the extra stress the extra wheels place on the rail in that location. If you ordered the other kit offered (SMA-8FA95-00-00) they can be mounted in any location on the skid providing there is clearance but most install them up on the front bend of the rail where alot of hyfax wear also happens.
