Just got back from u.p. I am so proud of my attak.
Had a warning light come on for a few minutes then
went went off .Not sure what it was for.Pat's yamaha
told me not to worry about it.The warning system on
the attaks are sensitive.I have a bb spring and rear
heat exchanger for my sled I am not sure if I am going
to put them on.So far I am happy with all the stock
settings. I have bottomed out a couple of times but
who hasn't ridding aggressive.I ordered a set of bergstrom
carbides I am going to put on and try when my stock
carbides wear out.I have to question why people say
the stock ski's on the attaks are junk.I must be missing
something.Mine seams to steer all right.I did notice I
was getting just a little ski lift coming out of the turns
under hard throttle. Not bad enough to scare me.Had
two or three different sleds challenge me on open
area running.but they could not keep up.Because
I am heavy they thought they could blow a yammie away
they know better now.REALLY LIKE MY ATTAK !!!! :die :jump: :4STroke:

Most of the OEM skis leave something to be improved upon. Like most aftermarket improvements the benefits are in the eye of the beholder. Do you need to replace the stock skis? No! Can you improve the handling and drivability for your style of riding with a good aftermarket ski and quality runners? Yes! Does the average guy who rides less than 1000 miles a year know the difference? Probably not.

Studdog.... just wondering if you have enough snow on the Island to run without banging the rocks too hard? I heard that the Dolomite road is pretty good but the trails are still rough? Also wondering if the ice bridges are good to go?....Thanks, Bo

i put on the bergstrom tripple carbides before my last trip (1180 miles) rode in many different conditions and i am very happy with the skis.

I changed my skis to slydog powder hounds, but.....

the darting problem is usually fixed by adjusting/correcting the alignment of the skis as set at your dealer./....

Bodacious, No worth while riding on the island. Ice bridge has been in to Canada. Not much good riding there either however.. Been the worst year we've seen for snow. I usually put 4000 miles on in a season. This year I'm selling my 07 Attak GT with less than 1500 miles. Wouldn't have ridden that much without trailering.

I thought stock skis were total crap, until I installed Woodys 8" carbides. HUGE difference. Not that aftermaket skis wouldn't be better, but stock carbides really suck.
