Can someone please tell me the good, the bad and the ugly of a 2007 Nytro. I am thinking about buying one and would like to get some info.
Thanks in advance.

I had an '06 (same thing)
Good.... rode very good once dually carbides were put on. Great fuel mileage. Mad acceleration (they are geared low) Still has a functional hood to get at the engine & clutches.
Bad.... know cam chain tensioner problems (all models with 3 cyls thru '07) Suspension bottoms easy when ridden hard & jumped. Typical exhaust donut burnouts. Carbs are sensitive to the least amount of dirt & need to be perfectly in sync or the engine runs like crap. Oil tank has been known to crack at the mounting tabs.
Ugly.... handwarmers are terrible. Either gauntlets are needed or Yamaheater mod to fix.

If they are geared low for accelleration, what is the top speed?
My son had an 06 and replaced the poor excuse of a windshield and low and behold his hands quit freezing.

95-100. Fast enough to hurt yourself.

I have a red 07 er model. Overall a good trail sled. I only have 2000 miles of seat time. You do notice the weight. The rear suspension needs at least a revalve. It does bottom hard. Can be set up to rail around a corner but not really what it is made for. I get 14-16 mpg. Not a fan of the ripsaw or stock ski. I have installed usi p301 skis which are great. Also installed a pivot adapter, bars were just not far forward enough. I love the seating position compared to my rev. Have not tried a xp. If SD could build a strong chassis I may go back to sd.

Mechanically I think it is pretty bullet proof. The rear suspension is odd, seemed harsh is stutter bumps and small trail chatter but bottomed easily (I weigh 170). Add pilot skis and a taller windshield and you have a very good sled. Better mileage than my Apex, about 18-19 mpg on groomed trails.
