I've seen various posts about the clunk in the Rage and other new long-track suspensions. Common statements I've seen is that it's either the limiter strap or the transfer rod, but the common message was "live with it, it's normal".
Had my machine into the dealer yesterday. They told me that there was an ommission in the 06 Service manual, and that there is an adjustment that can help this clunk, that they didn't know about when I took delivery and first complained of this problem. The dealer confirmed that the clunk is in fact the transfer rod - no rubber pads inside, and at slow speeds on stutter bumps, the suspension comes forward and the clunk is within the transfer rod casing.
The recommended solution is to take out the Monoshock and move the clip down to the maximum compression. There are 3 grooves that encircle the top of the shock and the clip at the top of the shock can be moved down to the lowest one, but you need to actually remove the shock to do this. It took about 20 min for the mechanic. This is not to be confused with the 7-position ring that you can easily adjust while the shock is on the sled.
The result will be a harder suspension, but I should now be able to dial back my rebound a little (had to keep it on hard...). Also said this should help with my bottoming out. Dealer said they were finding this in long tracks where the rider was over 200 lbs. (I'm 220). I figure I may have to now adjust my limited strap depending on the weight on my skis....
I will take it out this weekend and see what this does to my ride....I'm wondering if this just screwed up my otherwise great ride.....
Has anyone else had this adjustment done on the 06 Rage??

I have a vector gt and I have heard the same noise when going slowly over bumps, and wondered what it was. I would be intersted to see your results, but not sure that I would want to move up to the 3rd clip setting as I am rather light and only on the 4th click on the preload...
