I just started to notice a loud "howl" noise at 6500RPMs. It's not there at any other RPM and sounds like it's an intake noise not exhaust. The doughnuts were replace 2k miles ago with copper and when I have it on a stand it doesn't seem to make the noise. The sled runs fine and doesn't skip or bog at 6500 just the loud howl that goes away once the rpms drop or increase. I checked the airbox and it seems fine. No codes either, and as mentioned it seems to be coming from the intake side of the engine.
thank you for any information or thoughts.

Check your header pipe for a crack.
That was my thought as well
It sounds like an intake noise not exhaust
I ran it on a stand and the noise was not as loud and almost not noticeable. When I was loading it, I took it for a short ride on the lake and without a helmet and it was pretty loud. The odd this is it is only at 6500 rpms which is whats throwing me off. I plan to bring it in the garage and look into the air box and headers.
Again no performance difference just a loud howl! I will keep this post updated with my findings and welcome any suggestions.

Mine seems to 'resonate' at that RPM and others have said the same- check out this thread:
