I have read that the 07 RTX has 23 top gear and I have read it has a 22 top depending on if you have reverse or not. I do have reverse, so once and for all what is my stock top gear? Is the 07RTX clutching the same as the standard Apex and/or the Attack? I was wondering for 800 foot runs should I change the gearing and just add a clutch kit or change gearing?
To be honest, the motor has so much pull I don't think I would miss any low end on the trails even if I did gear up.

I has the good low end because of the lower gear , just a traction issue , lots of studs , 2007 stock gear is very good in 800ft

2007 RTX with reverse has a 22 top gear. The best set up for that sled is the 23 top gear but you will also have to put the longer chain on. The 07 Apex GT came with a 24 top and the Attack has the 23 top gear

The Attack studded was dead even with the Apex GT unstudded top speed. The RTX was about 5 mph slower. On my Apex GT the speedo read 124 and GPS said 110. All sleds are 07's

It all depends on conditions. I'd say from hearing from the guys on here that the 23 tooth is best for ice racing. As soon as you add in snow things change. Mine is a beast out of the hole and when she hooks up there isn't anything that keeps up. I am down a few mph but I've had 112 gps out of mine and that's fast enough for me. Thats on snow too. Have to wait for march too hopefully find a place with the right conditions to try it on the ice. I like the corner to corner thing more then top end only. Again depends on what your looking for. Do a search on speeds and there should be lots of reading.
