08-09 Tunnel protector kit fit 07??

Will the Yamaha 08-09 only tunnel protector kit fit the 07? I don't understand why it is only for these 2 years. They didn't fill the back hole I thought until 09 so it shouldn't have anything to do with that. It's alot of money but just wnated another option before I use hyfax as tunnel protectors. If anyone has an 07 and used this kit, let me know. I put the Yamaha plate assembly on mine so my hole is filled in.

Yamaha does make a kit for the 07 through 09 models.

Sorry, I was looking at the wrong thing. your right. says 08 and 09 only.....hmmmm. wonder what the difference is.

YES. It does fit the 07 FX model (GT too). I have a pair installed on my 07 FX. I believe you do have to drill the rearmost holes in the tunnel to mate up to the protectors. Given the fact that I really believe in studs, the installation of these tunnel protectors was a given.

Having installed many tunnel protectors on Ski-Doo models, these factory Yamaha parts are first class for construction, design, fit and finish.
