just getting my sled ready , wondering if this is normal? when it pulled rear suspension off my stand , the rear bumper drops about 2 inches with no weight on sled from the fully extended lenght. i had my rear ohlin electronic shock rebuilt last year, and i dont remember if it would drop with no weight on seat . i know the rear spring setting is to measure fully extended then with me on seat but should it be fully extended like my daughters skidoo with no weight? did the rear shock lose its charge . i had the shock out and it seems like its still charged with no spring on it . what do the other gt owners say ? thanks

Shocks do not hold up the sled. This is the spring's job. With no weight on the sled the spring will be fully extended but as soon the track touches the floor there is weight on the skid and the spring and it will set in.

My limited knowledge of how shocks work would have me also suspect that shocks do not hold the sled up, but, when the oil leaked out of the shock in our XTX rear suspension, the result was that the rear end had to be helped up the last 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Got the shock redone, and it seemed to be back to normal.
