My buddy just bought a 2014 800 do and I own a 08 apex ltx gt. I was wondering if I had to do anything to my apex to make sure it beat the do what would it be..

I have never had issues going by an 800 doo. 2013 800R Etec passed many times and raced beat 2/3 races. 2014 800R etec 137 inch track passed on the trail and ive had better top speed with my 2006 Apex Gt. You shouldn't have any problems. I had an ulmer stage 2 clutch kit in my old Apex.

Thanks murse might put a yamacharger on just to make sure lol... Just don't know how well they work any input..

on my 08 rtx i had a yamacharger with a pc3 with ulmer programming, it worked great, clutching is key

Stock form I really don't think you are going to have issues going by them in the straights. They will have you in the bush though.

I had it for 2 seasons, it worked as advertised, I messed with clutching and gearing, I also had an ignition module and pc3 from Ulmer, so it all worked good together
I beat lots of sleds but also got beat by some
