Left side bulkhead is damaged. I have my replacement ready. I can see the bolts that need to be removed. Toughest one looks to be a single bolt from inside the tunnel. I can see several rivets to drill out. Obviously I will need to slide out the rear engine mount bolt from the other side. Here is my question : does anyone know if it will be difficult to remove the bulkhead from the track drive shaft and the secondary sheave shaft? I see there may be a circlip to remove but Im hoping the bulkhead will just slide right off without having to pull these shafts

Trying to remove left bulkhead and am stuck. How do I remove the bracket that holds the bearing? On the secondary sheave I have removed the 2 circlip. Seams the bearing housing should slide off but it doesn't. Same deal for the Axle that drives the track. Need to figure out how to remove that bearing g housing so I can remove bulkhead. Anyone hot any advice?

It's not that bad of a job to open the chain case and remove the shafts. If you look in the faq's there is a step by step that is very clear and easy to follow (track or gear change). I think it will be very frustrating to work with the shafts in, but if you remove them you will be able to inspect your bearings. Less work in the end my friend.

The speedo bearing has two set screws on the inside of the bulkhead. Unless you replace it every year, it will get firmly set onto the shaft. Mine was impossible to get off while the shaft was on the sled.

Good advice. I'm gonna see if I can find that section in the FAQ and read it over a beer tonight!

Oh ya, and the jack shaft bearing is pressed on. So, you will have no choice but to go into the chain box.
