Has anyone come up with a solution to the valving on the standard Nytro FX rear suspension that works and is willing to share? I was told to call Hygear suspension, but the guy told me to send my shocks in to them, the problem is I live in WI and they are in New York. I would like to find somoen local instaead of shipping. Thanks.

I understand your hesitation to send your expensive shocks to an unknown entity in another state. However, I live in NYS only 1.5hrs from Hygear and still sent all my shocks to him via UPS. I insured the package for the replacement value to be safe. Ross at Hygear tuned my shocks around in 2 days. I sent them out Monday morning and had them back Friday evening. Then after a few rides, I decided I wanted them to be valved a bit stiffer and chose to take the drive to his shop to get the FREE revalve done. He serviced the shocks right in front of me and I was heading home within an hour. I can tell you that he has a legit shop. It is very clean and organized. This is not a sideline business. He tracks your shocks and any parts all together in customer-specific tray with work orders. He also had records of the work he did to my shocks. His inventory of shock valving components is staggering! He's operates more like a manufacturer than a repair shop.
Two of my riding buddies also had similar positive experiences with him as well. I would not hesitate to send your shocks in to him, especially now in the off season.
I'm not one to be a cheerleader for people, but service as good as what I got at Hygear need to be recognized.
