I recently had the chance to "race" (not really much of a race) a Poo Fusion with my 08 Nytro.
SLED SPECS (to the best of my knowledge):
06 Fusion 700:
121" x 1.25 camo track
192 1.4" studs
SLP silencer
SLP Clutch Kit
08 Nytro RTX:
121" x 1.25 stock CamoPlast track
144 1.375 studs
my own aftermarket exhaust can
Drag n Fly weights in primary

We only drag raced 3 times on a road. The road was more or less ice.
To the best of my knowledge the race was 600-800 ft long.
Race 1: Nytro wins after letting out of throttle 2 times cuz the sled was veering to the ditch, by 3 sled lengths
Race 2 (switched lanes): Nytro wins by 4-5 sled lengths
Race 3: The fusion jumped to a very slight early lead ( i spun out) and after about 100 ft I seriously pulled away from him with NO trouble. I let out of the the throttle and ended the race 3/4 of the way b4 the finish line and he caught me at the finish line.
All in all i thought this was supposed to be a 600 class sled? I handed this loudmouth his own a$$ 3 times and then the excuses came lol. Im pretty happy with how these nytros pull.
BRING ON THE 800'S!!

good to hear, I had a guy where I live saying his f6 could kick my fx nytro's #*$&@, I told him whatever. Then he said after i fix my crank case, I laughed at him, and said you ain't beating #*$&@ with a broke down sled. People I tell ya

BRING ON THE 800'S

amen!!! thats what sold me on my new nytro. I traded my slightly modded 04 mxz8 for it. The 800 was faster. but the pull of the quad stroker was like a drug!!!! TONS more fun... can't wait to mod up the new sled! :4STroke:

Wow , this is surprising to me. I currently own both a 09 Nytro RTX and a 06 Fusion 700 and by seat of the pants feel I would give the bottom end edge to the Nytro but mid range to top end to the Fusion but I haven't had a capable rider available to try em out. I will say that in the 3000 miles I have owned the fusion I have learned that they are about the most finicky snowmobile to keep running well there is but when running properly they will surprise you. I was thinking it would have/should have been more of a race then that. I am including a link of some drags we did last year, you will see my 700 Fusion, my buddies F10, a srx 600, Sabercat 700, zl 600 , and a F6. The racing starts @ about the 4.5 minutes in , you will see how a good running Fuse 700 performs particularly vs the F10 and S7, it will hold it's own. My friend with the F10 bought a Z1TURBO this year and we lined up 3 times with the Nytro and I can take him out of the hole with my Nytro but he wil go by at about 80mph pretty strong but I have 100# on him, the Nytros are REALLL strong on the bottom end, think they will stick with anything in a short race. They are so damn smooth it is decieving how quick they really are.

Well I know from personal experience that a Dragon 700 will not touch a Nytro XTX or a Renegade 1200. I however have never seen a Fuson 700 so I don't know if they put out the same power or not?

Looks like your 700 runs pretty good. Is that a 900 Fusion at the end? Looks like your friend needs a Y pipe and pipe mod.
Bruce

I've raced my Buddies 2009 F8 about 20 times now and It doesn't matter how far we go. I beat him badly. when we hit it from a roll and roll I drive away from him like he's got an anchor behind him.

Only Fusion there was my 700. He put a D&D Y pipe and pipe and a d&d can, firebreather intake, D&D clutch kit and a EFI controller shortly after then he traded it off, it never performed like it should have. My Fuser goes pretty good on the bottom, am anxious to try it vs the NYTRO

Fusion

I looked like the race at 3:23 in the vid was your Fusion and the guy that was driving it had what looked like a silver helmet. That race looked like you got beat but not by much.
Then at 6:23 in the vid, the next two races the Fusion won the races. Looked like that driver had a black helmet and coat.
So that sled is the same sled?

Yep same sled, we were swapping riders around trying to get guys of equal weight on them to make it as fair as possible, I have 100 # minimum weight on all the guys I ride with so whatever I am on is at a distinct disadvantage but I do usually get the hole shot. I am the one with the blue poo jacket and red/silver moto helmet. With equal weight riders the Fusion and the F10 was a good race before his mods, they would usually swap wins if the race was short, on long puls the F10 owns me on top end, my Fusion is good for about 105-106mph in good conditions and the F10 will walk me from 80 mph on. I am thinking my Nytro and Fusion will be a damn good race but he Nytro does feel stronger on the bottom end wich is impressive since that is where my fusion shines as well.

all those riders and not ONE capable (as you put it) rider? thats very odd. nice video tho.

My wife rides the Fuse when we go out now, she isn't too comfortable riding yet but she gets better every ride. I go out with the guys one day per weekend and her the other. I am going to pull it up to my brother in laws today and give it a go I think, will post back tonite. Not saying I don't believe you, just was surprising, hope it turns out the same for me !!!!!

I think you will be surprised how fast the nytro pulls away in the shorter runs (up to 600 ft or so)
Dont forget to switch riders as well. give both sleds a fair shake in the battle.
