Rode this week in upper Maine on nice hard packed groomed trails. At 40-45 mph my rpm is 72-7400. Seems to me it revs high for that speed? On fuel stops at 80 miles it took 4-5 gallons. Gallon less than a 06 Polaris fusion 700 and 2 less than a Skidoo mxz sdi 1000. WOT rpm was 9000-9100. Do these numbers seem right? It is a new to me sled and 4 stroke. Sled is stock to my knowledge 1.25 ripsaw studded up the middle. Thanks for looking!

My 2011 XTX will twist 7000 RPM at about 62 MPH, and 9140 RPM at full throttle, with stock gearing. Now mine has exhaust, and fuel controller so the mid range RPM may be a bit different than yours, but on top they do run higher than most other brands I've noticed.
