08' RTX / Looking Skid Transfer Link Bushings?

@Gone Blue Here you go. Let me know if you need different measurements. Digital caliber is nothing fancy so assume some variance with these numbers. The picture without the bushing is what I was able to sequeeze the bushing/pinch in that gap so as to provide a collaspe measurement:

Thank you some much for your time to provide these dimensions! I am out of town on business today but will be home tomorrow to check these dimensions. Thx

You will find that the bushing holes that the bushings sit in the aluminum relay rod will be egg shaped and worn. Barn of parts has steel relay rods with the Yamaha bushings installed in them. Better for long-term use.
Worth a call to them and see if they still offer them.

Travis still offers the studier relay rods for the 16-18 Apex although I'm not sure they are made of steel; just a stronger grade aluminum if I'm mistaken. The question would be whether or not these same rods would be applicable to Gone Blue's 08 Nytro.

The ones I purchased for our 16 vector are stainless steel from Travis.

The Apex/Vector 16 and up relay rods are longer than what is on the fx nytro.

Yeah, I will reach out to Travis to see if the ones he still lists on his site for an Apex with a Single Shot skid, would work on an 08' Nytro? His listing says his links are made of stainless steel. Thanks guys for the info! I will let you know what Travis says.

I stand corrected. Straight from his website:

RobX-1 those bushings should work in the Nytro link arms! The OD of the steel Nytro spacer that fits into the bushings in the link arms, measure 16.05 mm. Thanks again for posting the dimension. I have one hole that is a little egg shape that I may try and wrap some thin aluminum or brass sheet material around the new bushing. Thx GB

I am going to drill the egged holes round and wrap the OD of the bushings with brass shim material to tighten up the fit. I think this will work OK?

So these bushings (#90381-16002) fit the stock Nytro transfer arms. However,I noticed that (1) hole in each arm was slightly egg shaped. So instead of drilling the egg shaped holes round and wrapping brass shim material around the bushing, I placed a new bushing in the egged hole and used a putty knife to press metal JB Weld into the clearance areas of the bushing and the egged hole in the link arm. The picture attached is after I pressed the JB Weld in the clearance around the bushing. So, I will see if this holds up? GB.....

I would think that as long you treated (ie. clean/sanded/wire brushed) the area around the holes that the JB weld would hold. Much better idea than the brass shim material as I could see that not holding as well as this jb stuff.

Ummmm, well I am not sure I prepped the ID of the holes very good? So, I will keep an eye on them and see how it holds up. Thx, G.B.

Knowing those bushings fit, I'm surprise @hibshman25 doesn't off the beefier relay rods for the Nytro like he does for the Apex. I doubt they are the same length but thought he might possibly be able to use the same stock to make similar ones for the Nytro. After replacing them twice (originals and then an OEM replacements), I finally decided to try Travis' and after multiple seasons there are still no signs of egged out holes and the bushings still look good. ;)!
