i just picked up a 08 nytro rtx but the floats in the front are super stiff at 65psi i just get thrown all over the place as there not compressing more than about an 1" in normal bumpy riding. i have no darting problems it has pilot skis and the arms have been milled out. does this sound right cause im a little concerned that my shocks are not working right. they have 8500mi and same with the rear its super stiff any advice. oh and it was -25 and my rear suspension became locked in a fully compressed position any advice on this one.i couldnt pry it back open
Dumb question, but if you have 8500 miles on them, they are way past due for service/rebuild. If they are fresh, the floats benefit greatly from a revalving to soften the initial stroke of the shock. Did it to my 08 RTX and am very happy with results. As for your rear suspension becoming "locked" I would guess you have a mechanical issue of some sort. I have ridden mine in temps down to -42F, and did not experiance what you have. Hope this helps

Sometimes water gets inside the shock and then turns to ice. Next thing you know it locks up. Warm it up and see if it unlocks. Even if it does though, you are in for a service job cause the seal must be bad and you already have water in the shock. Unless, it is mechanically screwed up. But wither way, it is in for service.
Have you tried playing around with the Air Pressure in the skis' shocks?

Have you tried running less than 65psi to see how that would affect the ride?
Agree on the valving. I set up a soft first stage that all but eliminated the feed back I was getting up through the bars in the stutters.
