09 apex mtx help plz engine light on

engine light on and sounds and can't idle by it self what should i check?
i just got it last week from someone never had any problems since 2 days ago.

Is the a number next to the engine light. Had this happen once and replaced the throttle position sensor. It just stated when riding and had to use the gas to keep it running.

there is a number 33 and the light is blinking

Coil #1 is having trouble pull it and clean it, check to see if its grounding to the head.

i well check that when i get a chance to get into a shop its hard to find a warm place still winter here thanks i well post if fix

got it going again thanks for you guys help.
pushed in the connecting wire to the coil and light came of and runs good again
first time to have a yamaha 4stroke and i like it

Isn't that like in the northern part of Canada, north of the artic circle. I think it's close to where Santa Clause lives.
