I have a 2009 FX nytro that is running at 9000 rpm wide open on fresh groomed trail which is what I do my riding on mostly. I think the nytro is suppose to run at 8500 max. Should I add some tip weight?

Lots of people clutch them to 9000 rpm for the trail that way when they get in the powder under load it is still in the proper rpm range 8600-9000 rev limiter is at 9300 so you are fine.

I dont ride off trail at all, strictly groomed trail. It appears the nytro makes max power at 8500 or so? So should I add more tip weight?

Looks like 8750 actually. Not too far off but I still would like to pull it down a notch.
What size rivet in tip should I go to?

Noticed this same issue on mine while riding groomed trails as well. Actually saw 9200 and I didn't have the flipper all the way to the bar yet. Only modification that may affect clutching is a 1.5x128 track.

Let er Rev, not hurting anything. 9000 RPM is perfect for any conditions. As long as it is not touching limiter your good.

My Nytro never liked it at 9000. It seemed to pull hardest at 84-8500. Given that you have an aftermarket helix, you may have different weights too?
If you are able to add a couple grams to the weights then go ahead and try it.

Everything in the primary clutch is stock.
Wrap degrees and spring in secondary is stock.
I think the motor and chassis has been broken in good with 6000 well maintained miles

Does anybody agree with the sled being broken in with 6000 miles?
I was never able to pull those rpms at 3000 miles.

sure, if you consider worn clutch parts to be broken in.Does anybody agree with the sled being broken in with 6000 miles?
